Nokia announces upcoming mobile phones with NFC

Anssi Vanjoki, Nokia’s executive vice president for markets, has earlier announced that all new smartphones manufactured by the company will come with NFC (Near Field Communication) from next year. But according to recent reports, it has been said that only select Nokia’s Symbian smartphones will see NFC from 2011. NFC is a short-range high frequency wireless communication technology which enables the exchange of data between devices over about a 10 centimeter distance. NFC is primarily aimed at usage in mobile phones.Couple of weeks ago, Anssi Vanjoki, a Nokia employee responsible for consumer insights, sales, marketing, manufacturing and logistics across all Nokia products and services, announced during a keynote presentation at the Mobey Forum’s 10th anniversary workshop that all the smartphones produced by the company will have the NFC technology from 2011.
